So the Ryder Cup is once again back at the Home of Golf. This is the first time since 1973 that the Ryder Cup has returned to the home of Golf and this year it returns to Gleneagles for what is already promising to be one of the best match play tournaments of the decade.
With Europe and the USA having announced their teams the only things left to do is to celebrate golf around the world and enjoy this wonderful sporting occasion.
2014 has been a magnificent year for sport in Scotland with the Commonwealth Games being the biggest and most successful games yet and not the return of the Ryder Cup.
The dates to watch out for – the 23rd to the 28th September now only 20 days away – less than three weeks before the wold is surrounded by wall to wall Golf.
The teams were mostly known for a couple of weeks with the last three wild card placed for the Ryder Cup being announced last week with the wonderful addition of Yorkshires own Lee Westwood who we are certain will provide his best Golf of the season to help push Team Europe onto victory.
Of course the European team would not be the same without Rory McIlroy and captained by Paul McGinley. The USA Team is a strange bunch and is missing the input of Tiger Woods.
In the midst of all of the excitement of the Golf there is also a magnificent concert planned featuring the likes of Jake Bugg, Texas, Nina Nesbitt, Midge Ure and many more. This historic concert is taking place on 28th September in the Glasgow arena.
So – prepare to be amazed by some magnificent match play Golf as Europe once again defends the title.
